Six Star Head Gaskets are made in the USA of Stainless Steel with the outer layers of the gasket embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a fluorocarbon-based synthetic rubber - heat resistant to 250C / 453F. The center shim layer of the gasket is comprised of an uncoated stainless steel layer. This construction meets the demands of a variety of harsh environments and offers superior key features: increased strength and load conditions, less bore distortion, superior heat and corrosion resistance.
